Good Morning Neighbors!

As you can probably tell from this awesome promotional image, we've got a Wii! Starting this Wednesday we'll be playing Wii Sports on the TV in the Teen room at 5:00. It's going to be beyond awesome.

Also, please know that we will be closed on Monday September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

Emancipation Day

Tomorrow, April 16th, is Emancipation Day in the District of Columbia. In honor of this holiday DC Government agencies, including the DC Public Libraries will be closed. Watha T. Daniel will reopen to the public on Thursday April 17th at 9:30 a.m.

In the spirit of the holiday, take a look at these original pages of the Emancipation Proclamation hosted at the National Archives.
